Also known as Teckels, these Wirehaired Dachshunds come from authentic European bloodline. They were originally developed for hunting badgers. Unlike the common “Weiner Dog”, these have large feet and pack serious toughness into a small, muscular frame. They excel at blood tracking and come in handy during deer season. They are easier to transport and require less space when moving through thick brush. They are highly intelligent and problem solvers by nature and thrive when given a job.
